Outfit envy alert!
When I went to uni back in 2005, my interest in fashion was pretty non-existent. In fact, it was actually one of my best friend’s, Sophie (above), who introduced me to forced me to buy my first pair of skinny jeans from Newlook.
Soph is a natural when it comes to pulling outfits together. This stems from a decade of working at Topshop, but also her effortless style. She can do bohemian, polished, sports-luxe, preppy, the lot!
“What would Sophie wear” even now this is a phrase that still goes through my head when trying to find something… we even still swap pieces occasionally, like fashionista penpals. Topshop Boutique pieces find themselves winging their way to and from Manchester to London and get taken on holidays to far flung places like Singapore and Milan. I’m a lucky girl to have such stylish friends.
When we were at uni, a house of five giddy girls, we would often have a good old look through one another’s wardrobes to find an outfit to wear for a night out, or a date or even just to wear during the day. Oh! How I miss those days and our crazy themed house parties.
What Sophie wore…
This was Sophie’s outfit for London Fashion Weekend, back in September 2015. The beautiful embellished jacket is from the H&M premium range. It’s certainly a showstopper.
